Memories of School Days

Huge crowds flocked to the old Hatchlands School at Cuckfield last week in the hope of finding some memento of their childhood as the contents were being auctioned off.

The school was packed to capacity with many people standing outside and bidding through the windows for a chance to buy a piece for the old girls’ school history

A set of George the third mahogany dining chairs fetched £840 and with prices better than expectations, an 18th-century Elm side table realised £600.
