A Cuckfield donkey 'Old Deaks Buster', who hem won many racing and jumping successes at Wivelsfleld and Cuckfield Donkey Shows, was the only donkey in the Personalities Parade at the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley.

Owned by Mrs Evan-Cook, of Old Deaks, Cuckfield, Old Deaks Buster was elected as the best all-round donkey of the year to appear In this parade throughout the show and to be featured before BBC Television cameras in the Cavalcade on the last day of the event.

Thirteen-year-old Eileen Farrell. of Cuckfield, who has ridden Old Deaks Buster to victory in many jumping and racing events, led him in the parade.
