The attention of the Committee was drawn to the fact that the Cuckfield Isolation Hospital ambulance was used in the district very frequently as a taxi to run passengers to Burgess Hill Railway Station. -It was recommended that the Clerk write to the Matron of the Cuckfield Rural District Isolation Hospital stating that the very frequent appearance of the hospital ambulance in Burgess Hill was giving residents and visitors the idea that there was an epidemic of fever there, and asking that the ambulance should in the future take their passengers to some other station.
