DEATH OF MR. W. HERRINGTON.

Older residents have learned with much regret of the death of Mr. W. Herrington, of Eastbourne, which occurred early on Sunday morning, following a stroke.

Deceased. who was 63, was head teacher of Cuckfield schools from 1891 to 1923 He was for many years a member of the Parish Church choir and was a well-known lecturer on historical and geographical subjects, his collection of lantern slides being a very large one. Since his retirement he had resided at Eastbourne. He leaves a widow and one daughter. The funeral service will be held to-day, at Christ Church, Eastbourne. the interment following at Langney Cemetery.
