DEATH OF ABLE-SEAMAN H. SMITH. —
lt is with regret publish the news that Able-Seaman Harry Smith, H.M.S. "Glory," has succumbed to enteric fever on board the hospital ship "Aquitania" He had fought in the trenches at the Dardanelles.
He was 37 years of age, and married, his wife and little girl living in the High-street, Cuckfield. At the age 16 years he joined the Navy, and had been on the Reserve ten years. When in civil life he carried work as a chimney sweep. He was a very respectable and hard-working man, and the deepest sympathy has gone out to his wife and parents, who also are old residents of Cuckfield.
