1911: Rusty(?) steed collapsed

Updated: Dec 5, 2023

Mr C Knight, of Cuckfield, had a narrow escape on Thursday while cycling down Copyhold-lane. He was going at a fairly good pace when suddenly his front wheel collapsed, and Mr Knight was thrown over the handle-bars. His explananation is that through the constant use of his front brake the rim of his machine had worn away. It will therefore pay cyclists to keep their eye on this part of the machine.
