The Cuckfield Coronation celebration will be in Cuckfield Park. The programme consists of a service at the Parish Church, sports and amusements in the park, with the Town Band in company, tea to allcomers, more amusements until dusk, when there will be a display of fireworks in the vicinity of the well-known lakes, and after this there will be a Carnival procession out of the park to a brow just south of the park, where there will be a bonfire.
The children will have Coronation mugs as souveniers, and it is understood that the tea will be home provided, that is to say, provisions will be purchased by the Committee and the serving will be arranged for, which for, which allows a free hand in the entertainment, and an absence of ticket-bound generosity. Cuckfield desires everyone of its parishioners, old or young, to have a pleasant afternoon on Coronation Day.
