Updated: Dec 5, 2023

A traction engine, belonging to the Cuckfield I Rural District Council, broke down on the high road between Cuckfield and Haywards Heath on Wednesday owing to the axle of the large driving wheels breaking. The mishap blocked the road by Tyler’s Green for same time.
