CUCKFIELD.

KEEPING UP A GOOD OLD CUSTOM-

Dr. Parker, of Hillbrow House, on Wednesday evening gave the hands employed in securing his hay crop, a supper at the White Hart Inn of roast beef and plum pudding, that Mr. and Mrs. Gard placed on the table, with lots of vegetables, admirably cooked, the party thoroughly enjoying themselves, and keeping it up merrily and sociably until " the clock” tolled the hour for departure.
