On Wednesday a large snake of the pachyderbilia order was seen to dart out of the fence in front of the estate known as Myttens, in Broad street, and make for another aperture in the fence, bat finding its way blocked, it glided into the road, and ran across, being observed by one of the resident coachmen, who killed it by stamping on its head. The snake was a fine specimen, measuring some 13 or 14 inches in length, and in its thickest or middle part about an inch and an eighth.
