1881: Ladies distribute tons of coal

Once more our [Cuckfield] ladies have come to the front and distributed no less than 135 tons of coal amongst the poorer classes of the district. The Misses Byass have taken a very active part in the distribution. Mr E Godsmark was commissioned to supply the coal.
