CUCKFIELD.

HORSE Disease.

The glanders has again made its unwelcome appearance here, the victim being a valuable nag belonging to Mr Waugh, solicitor. The advice of Mr J Callow, veterinary surgeon, was immediately obtained, and under his direction the animal was killed and buried.

A year and a half has elapsed since a case of this kind has taken place, and it is not known how the present one originated, but it is not considered to have been brought into existence in the immediate neighbourhood.
