CUCKFIELD
Old Accident.
—A rather serious accident happened Thursday morning last to Mr Biggs (father of Mr Biggs, of the firm of Biggs and Hill, corn dealer, Upper St. James’s Street) on his road to the Station.
When near the Sergison Arms, the vehicle in which he was riding was overturned through the shying of the horse, and Mr Biggs was thrown out. Being a heavy man, and in years, he fell with great force, and was obliged to be taken home to Cuckfield in a fly, where Dr. Byass was called in.
The injury he sustained was very considerable.
