A vocal and instrumental concert came of at the Talbot Assembly Rooms, on Monday evening, it being the last of the season given by the Cuckfield Harmonic Society. About 250 persons were present, including several of the gentry, and the selections were from the great authors. Mr C Wratten conducted, and the performers ware nearly all from Cuckfield and Lindfield.
The singing was excellent, and the instrumental pieces capitally executed, the performers being highly complimented at the conclusion, TS Byass, Esq., expressing his gratification that the success of this evening had repaid them for the loss they experienced at the late concert, owing to the thinness of thecompany through the inclemency of the weather.
