Mary Ann Miles was committed for trial on Friday by, Captain Preston, on a charge of stealing a handkerchief and chemise, the property of Martha Herett. Miss Miles was enjoying a dance the previous night at the Sergison Arms, when Police Officer Stubberfield inopportunely dropped in, and danced her off to the station. She had given the police a good deal of trouble previously.
